Morphological changes of cardiac cells induced by Australian Calculus Bovis and deoxycholic acid (A) Cardiomyocytes were incubated with increasing concentrations of Australian C. Bovis-extract: (a) 0 mg/ ml; (b) 1x10-2 mg/ml; (c) 5x10-2 mg/ml; (d) 1x10-1 mg/ml. The morphological changes of cardiomyocytes were recorded using phase contrast micrographs observed at a magnification of x100. (B) Cells were exposed to medium containing DCA (0.1 mM).
