The effects of dopamine D 2 receptor agonist and antagonist on apoptosis of neonatal cardiomyocytes exposed to simulated ischemia/reperfusion. Cardiomyocytes were subjected to 2 h of simulated ischemia, and then incubated under normal conditions in the presence or absence of 10 μM bromocriptine or haloperidol for 24 h. The data are means ± S.E.M. of five determinations.P < 0.01 versus control; P < 0.01 versus ischemia/reperfusion. (A) MTT assay for cell viability.
