  1. Gerbils (n = 6) were treated with doxycycline (100 mg/kg/bw/per os). Controls were untreated. During 6 weeks of treatment, on day 7, 14, 28, and 42 no significant reduction in MF counts was observed. Reduction in worm recovery at the end of the treatment between control and treated gerbils was not significant.
