Treatment with YC-1 enhances ox-LDL-mediated foam cell formation. a YC-1 increased intracellular lipid droplets in ox-LDL-treated macrophages. RAW 264.7 macrophages were treated with 20 μM YC-1 with/without 50 μg/mL ox-LDL for 24 h. After fixation and staining with oil red O, the cells were observed by light microscopy.
