There is a limitation in the induced transmigration of monocytes and up-regulated expression of CD44 by HIV-1 gp41-190. HBMEC were treated with different dose of HIV-1 gp41-I90 (2–25 μM) for 6 h. Transmigration assays (a) and BA-ELISAs (b) were performed to assess whether transmigration of monocytes and expression of CD44 induced by HIV-1 gp41-190 is dose-dependent. The values represent the mean percent transmigrating THP-1 of triplicate samples and are representative of one experiment from three independent experiments showing similar data.
