EEG activity generated in the entorhinal cortex and hippocampus of MSG-treated rats at PD60 with i.c.v. infusion of 4-AP (3 nmol), KB-R7943 (62.5 pmol) or the combination of 4-AP (3 nmol) and KB-R7943 (62.5 pmol). Representative one-minute fragments from the recordings taken during basal activity (5 min before the infusion), at the onset of altered activity, and 30 and 60 min after completion of the infusion are presented. KB-R7943 significantly reduced epileptiform activity induced by 4-AP in MSG-treated rats
