Course of inflammation markers after ischemia for 35 min and reperfusion times between 6 h and 10 d. Quantification of the expression of markers of inflammation showed very different expression patterns. The expression of Tnf-α rose between 6 h and 3 d to remain on an equally elevated level throughout the whole period of observation. The expression of Il-6 peaked at the first time point of observation to a rapid decline, whereas Ccl-2 started with a high expression at 6 h, dropped to a lower level until 24 h and went back to the elevated level of expression at 3 d to gradually decline until the end of observation period at 10 d.
