Combination treatment affected the expression of apoptosis regulatory proteins in PC/DX25 and DU/DX50 cells. PC/DX25 (A) and DU/DX50 (B) cells were treated with 25 nM or 50 nM docetaxel, respectively, in combination with 0, 20, or 40 μM CAPE for 96 h. Protein expression of PARP, Bcl-2, Bax, caspase 3, cleaved caspase 3, caspase 9, cleaved caspase 9, caspase 8, cyclin D1, AVEN, and cytochrome c was examined by Western blotting. The β-actin was used as loading control. Quantification for protein expression level of important regulatory proteins from at least three different experiments was shown for PC/DX24 (C) and DU/DX50 (D) cells
