Effects of infection of NSC34 neuronal cells by N. meningitidis B1940 or B1940ΩhrpA strains on apoptosis and pyroptosis markers. Lysates from NSC34 cells transfected with control RNA and with two different dynlt1b siRNAs (indicated as #1 and #2) were subjected to SDS-PAGE and analyzed by immunoblotting using specific antibodies for Gasdermin E N-terminal (GSDME), Caspase-11, Caspase-1 and Gasdermin D (GSDMD). Antibodies against GAPDH were used to verify loading while antibodies against DYNLT1 were used to check dynein silencing. B, D, F, H Signal intensity was quantified by densitometric analysis and reported as fold changes of DYNLT1 siRNA samples compared to their controls. Values are the mean ± SEM of at least three independent experiments. *P < 0.05 **P < 0.01 ***P < 0.001. C, E, G, I Signal intensity was quantified by densitometric analysis and reported as fold changes of infected samples compared to non-infected cells or or compared to wild type if no signal was detected in non-infected cells. Values are the mean ± SEM of at least three independent experiments. *P < 0.05 **P < 0.01 ***P < 0.001
