Epigenetic therapy enhances immune synapse formation between cancer and γδ T cells. Epigenetic therapeutic agents, such as DNA methyltransferase inhibitors (DNMTis), upregulate the expressions of multiple immune synaptic molecules, such as ICAM-1, MICA, and ULBPs on cancer cells, and NKG2D on γδ T cells. The drugs significantly facilitate immune synapse formation between cancer and γδ T cells, and potentiate γδ T-mediated tumor lysis. This figure was created on BioRender.com
