Flow cytometry analysis of andrographolide induced apoptosis in MDA-MB-231 cells. Cells were double stained with annexin V-FITC and PI after treatment with andrographolide (30 μM) for 24 (b), 36 (c) and 48 (d) h and analyzed in a FACSVerse™ (Becton Dickinson, USA) flow cytometer. Untreated cells for 48 h served as Control (a). The proportions of early apoptotic (Annexin V+ PI-) & late apoptotic cells (Annexin V+ PI+) were significantly increased following andrographolide exposure compared to Control. e Bar diagram showing increased proportion of early and late apoptotic population after andrographolide treatment.
