Infection of siRNA silenced HepG2 cells. A. HepG2 cells either mock transfected (mock) or transfected with siGFP, siCHC3 or siCHC5 were infected with dengue virus serotype 2 at MOI 20 and the number of infected cells determined by our adaptation of the standard plaque assay [15]. Results are expressed as a percentage of mock infection and error bars represent the SEM of three independent experiments assayed in duplicate. B. HepG2 cells were either mock transfected or transfected with siCHC5 and either treated or not treated with wortmannin prior to infection with the dengue virus serotype 2 at MOI 20.
