Amino acid sequences of EndoG homologs, including human, nematode (Caenorhabditis elegans), budding yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), and fission yeast (Schizosacharamyces pombe), were compared with those of NucA by PileUp program. Residues that are identical in all nucleases are shown at bottom. The location of signal peptide is underlined. The amino acid residues mutated in this study are shaded in grey.
