Nine cell lines were transfected with or without miR-1; total RNA was isolated from these cells after 24 hours of transfection. mRNA from the six candidate genes were quantitated by qRT-PCR, normalized to GAPDH mRNA, and compared to levels in the untransfected samples. PTMA mRNA is down regulated in all nine miR-1 transfected cell lines.
