Effect of melatonin pre-treatment on TAC of testes in mice exposed to whole-body 60Co γ-irradiation. Animals were sacrificed through cervical dislocation and testes were collected after 2h, 4h and 8h post-irradiation. TAC of testes was measured in 10 % (w/v) homogenate through ABTS•+ decolorizing assay using spectrophotometer. The percentage inhibition of testes was equated with Trolox standard curve. TAC of testes was expressed as μM Trolox equivalent (TE) /μg protein. *p < 0.01, **p < 0.05, ns = non-significant (p > 0.05)
