From: Analysis of connexin expression during seizures induced by 4-aminopyridine in the rat hippocampus
Representative EEG recordings from control (a) and experimental (b) rats in which NaCl (0.9 %) and 4-aminopyridine (4-AP, 10 nmol), respectively, were injected into the right entorhinal cortex (rEC). These recordings show the basal activity during and at different times after drug administration. No changes in EEG activity were observed in any of the regions studied (right and left frontal cortex, rFC and lFC, respectively; as well as in the left occipital cortex, lOC) after NaCl injection (a). The recordings show epileptiform activity of high amplitude and frequency after 4-AP injection (10 nmol) in all of the studied regions throughout the entire experiment (60 min)
