Efficacy of immunization. Groups of 10 Balb/c mice were immunized with fusion proteins Flg-HA2–2-4M2ehs and FlgSh-HA2–2-4M2ehs. Two weeks post-second boost, mice were challenged with (a) 10LD50 A/Aichi/2/68 (H3N2) or (b) 10LD50 A/Shanghai/2/2013(H7N9)-PR8-IDCDC. Body weight (left) and survival rate (right) were monitored daily during 14 days. The P values (Montel-Cox test) between immunized and control groups are indicated
